Mary and Katie at age 12
Mary B. Devine
April 30, 1932 - May 16, 2008
It is with great sadness that I inform you
that Mary B. Devine passed away. I dedicated my first cookbook
to her because she was my first culinary instructor and was
a great family friend. Mary taught me how to make many recipes
including Angle Food Cake with Chocolate Whipped Frosting,
Eclairs and various types of cookies. I have fond memories
of the times she fostered litters of kittens for the SPCA
or when she made cut-out sugar cookies for my class when I
was in elementary school. My thoughts and prayers are with
her family.
